tues i didn't need to go to sch and i was supposed to study outside with aud but didn't coz i was feeling lazy and it was such a good weather coz it was sort of raining.
i kinda regretted my decision coz i only started studying seriously like at night?? serious slacking mode man!

Woots!
I haven't been blogging for a long long long long (x infintity) time!
I'm now at the GIS lab in the geography dept and before that, i had a GIS lecture.
Whew! It was quite boring and i sometimes drifted off somewhere, thinking about the SEP thingy and conjuring up random thoughts.
One of the random thoughts was thinking of a cheer related to my faculty (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) because every chair in the room had the label 'FASS' stuck onto the back rest, so the acronym kept replaying in my head coz it was inevitable not to see it anyway.
So here goes,
'Put the F to the ASS!
What do you get?
F-A-S-S!!!'
Haha, it's so random!
I also thought about the SEP application which is coming up on the 1st of October.
I thought that what if me (University of Connecticut) and Audrey (Boston University) got our desired universities and then we can meet each other every weekend or something since the distance between us is about an hour and a half apart?
That would be so so so (x infinity) fun!
And then i would be able to travel to New York as well since it's about 2 and a half hours frm UniConn.
For the SEP, i decided to choose a university that is near to New York as possible because i've always wanted to travel the Eastern Coast of USA.
A university in western USA will be also super since i would like to travel to California again (last time was in 1994) but then the eastern coast is of top priority.
I'm not sure about Canada although the cost of living is cheaper but then, it's not to say that i won't consider Canada at all.
However, i ain't optimistic about the prospects of me being accepted for SEP because my cap score isn't too good but then again, it wouldn't hurt to try and apply for it.
I hope God will lead the way and decide what's best for me.
That's all!
Tata!

Saturday 1 August 2009

Last night, i had a sort of best friends' heart to heart talk.
And i must say, we really opened up a lot, really a lot.
We even planned our futures.
We resolved to remain best friends no matter what the circumstances would be.
We promised to share our deepest secrets with each other.
And i have one thing to say, that our 12 and a half years of friendship will not be broken forever.
She also had a vision and how she described the scene was the most beautiful one i can picture in my mind.
I will never forget it.
...
This afternoon, my family went to Ikea and we had our lunch there too.
The food was similar to the food at the Perth branch.
Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable family meal.
After that, we went hunting for a new swivel chair so that i wouldn't have to borrow my dad's swivel chair in his room whenever i felt like studying in my room.
I chose a red plastic butt hugging chair which my mum had actually persuaded me not to buy because it looked uncomfortable and back-aching to her.
But still, it was a cheap $39 and i found it quite comfortable.
When i have my own house in future, i'm gonna buy all my furniture from Ikea and also take some of the interior design ideas from the many showrooms in Ikea.
I also saw Xiaxue's baby blue day bed and i understood her feelings when she found that there wasn't a pink one which she preferred because i think the day bed would also look very nice in baby pink.
All in all, i have always enjoyed visits to Ikea.
...
To end my post, here's wishing my dearest older sister a happy birthday.

HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY, MY DEAREST SISTER!

Something's wrong with blogger again...
I had a dream last night...
I dreamt that there was some tall construction crane just outside my house (i'm living in a condo) and suddenly, there was an accident.
The crane toppled and crashed through the windows of my neighbour's house just beside my unit.
It was like a close call, that my house wasn't affected.
But the sight of that accident was a little chilling.
Also, when the crane crashed through the building, i remembered something like everyone in the building had to evacuate due to fears of the whole building probably collapsing (think something like 9/11 and the World Trade towers).
So i had to grab everything that we wanted to save and i took out all my clothes, my chimpchimp and other precious stuff, and then rushing out of the house.
But it was a false alarm and then everybody was safe to go back to their own houses and i remember feeling sheepish for having taken so many stuff and that i had to put all of them back in their usual places again.
It was a really terrifying experience and it was so realistic.
...
Today i watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with my friends and i admit that the movie was a little boring.
The action scenes were quite good but a pity, they ran for a short while.
I would have preferred if there were more action scenes.
My favourite scene was one where Ron Weasley played his first Quidditch game against the Slytherins and he was so cool trying to block the quaffles from going through the hoops.
So yea, end of story.

Tuesday 21 July 2009

Ok i don't know what's wrong with blogger but i'm going to leave it just it is.
So well, I'M BACK FROM PERTH... since the 17th of July that is.
And ever since my mum and i came back, we have been following my sis' style of breakfast mornings by boiling half-boiled eggs and brewing coffee.
In the past, we were always saying there's no time to prepare a proper breakfast and everything but i'm sure there is a time for everything.
Also it's funny how after we came back that we began to buy more items than usual whenever we go to the supermarket.
For instance, eggs.
That's because Singapore has cheaper eggs than Australia's.
Even if we still have many eggs left in the fridge, we bought another carton of eggs from Cold Storage.
And i'm still amazed by the fact that the 1st carton of eggs was gone after maybe 2 days.
Well, the eggs became hard-boiled eggs.
That's an interesting anecdote for you.
...
Another thing is the coffee maker.
My sis' house has a coffee maker and my sis would always make coffee for us in the mornings.
Well, the coffee tastes slightly stronger than what i had tasted back in Singapore.
I'm just interested in how you have to make your own coffee and how you can alter the strongness of the coffee.
So the trend was started.
Back in Singapore, i asked mum to buy a coffee maker and she agreed, but then my dad remembered we had a coffee maker at home and i never knew that we actually had one!
So back home it was, rummaging the cupboard for the darned thing and there it was, an old brownish faded box containing the coffee maker.
We quickly got it out and prepared with the bag of grounded coffee beans purchased at Cold Storage earlier, we brewed our first coffee, well, using the coffee maker.
The taste was... slightly less strong as compared to my sis', maybe it was the beans, but comparable to the kopi-o served in coffee shops.
Nevertheless, i had fun brewing coffee and i bet the coffee maker is happy because it is finally being utilised after being kept in a box for eons of years.
That's a happy ending for you haha!!!
